The kitchen is the germiest room in the house. The kitchen tabletops/counters contain around 500 bacteria per square inch. The total number of microorganisms present in the kitchen outnumber the people present on this planet. Germs thrive up to 48 hrs on kitchen counters & surfaces.
All kitchen counters and tables should be regularly, ideally twice a day, sprayed and cleaned with a Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach) or Quaternary Ammonium Compound (Quats) based Kitchen Disinfectant Cleaner Spray. Quats based cleaners are preferred as pungent Bleach smell bothers many people.
Post spray, the cleaner should remain on the surface for at least 30 seconds for proper sanitation. You can either allow the surface to air-dry or wipe with a clean lint-free duster. For stained or foul-smelling surfaces, spray generous amounts of the cleaner and scrub gently with a non-abrasive sponge.
Always remember, all surfaces which come in contact with food, need to be washed with clean water after spraying before use.
