Sanitizers typically lower the number of germs on surfaces or objects to a safer level. Sanitizers need to remain on the surface for a minimum of 10 to 30 seconds to lower the number of germs effectively. But, Sanitizers rarely clean surfaces.
Disinfectants kills germs on surfaces or objects to a large extent. Disinfectants need to remain on the surface or object for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes to kill the germs effectively. A typical Disinfectant may or may not clean a surface.
There are many combined Disinfectant Sanitizer Cleaner products, which do all of the above three actions. These combination products, also known as "One Step," contain both cleaning agents and germ-killing active ingredients.
