Toilet cleaners are typically based on chemical compounds like (i) Hydrochloric Acid, (ii) Sodium Hypochlorite, or (iii) Quaternary Ammonium Chlorides (Quats). Each of the above types has its advantages and disadvantages.
The latest research suggests that traditional "blue coloured" Hydrochloric Acid based products offer the most cost-effective, fast and best-cleaning action. The Quats based products, with less or no acids, provide the best sanitizing and disinfecting killing properties. These products are eco-friendly and growing in popularity.
