At the hospital, probably the last thing that you are thinking about is the floors. However, the latest research suggests that hospital floors, even if cleaned regularly, are covered with bacteria. These floors can be a potential source of infections, commonly known as “Hospital Acquired Infections” or “HAI” in short.
Even if you do not touch the floors directly, other things that patients, visitors, and staff routinely touch are in contact with the floor. So, it is a good idea to minimize your interaction not only with hospital floors, but also things that touch hospital floors like shoes, socks, and wheelchair wheels.
If you have to touch any high-touch surfaces like call buttons, doorknobs, and bed rails in a Hospital, make sure to sanitize your hands with Medical Grade Hand Disinfectants properly. Just a caution, ordinary hand sanitizers may not adequately protect you from strong germs.
